Day One: A Simple Journey

I bet you are wondering who I am and why I started this page. There are so many blogs out there that deal with fitness, others that deal with being a father, a husband, etc. None deal with the journey of everyday life.

My name is Marcos, I am a 38 yr old husband and father. I am also a soccer coach. I deal with my kids and everyone else’s kids on a daily basis, not to mention my wife. We live in Texans, to be exact – we live in Houston.

We moved here from Irwin, PA about two years ago after our world came tumbling down. We never wanted to raise our kids in this city, we wanted them to live a small town life but life wanted us to take a different journey. The kids have grown accustomed to the chaos of the big city as have the both of us.

Fitness is a way for me to clear my mind of all that is wrong inside of me and in the world. It is the only way I can see myself moving forward. I guess this brings me to why I started this blog.

I want to tackle my demons, one of which I have long been dealing with but never wanted to admit it. It took the suicide of a close friend who dealt with the same thing to make me realize how far close to the edge I have been. In this blog I will take you on my journey as I find a way to live life to the fullest thru fitness and just an everyday person.

I hope you enjoy the ride.

Stay Motivated,

Marcos
